Discover China 2025 is a fact-finding mission and study week initiated by Kalaidos UAS, designed to offer participants a unique opportunity to experience the economic pulse and ongoing development in China. This initiative seeks to enhance participants' understanding of the vibrant landscape of Chinese markets and innovation, enabling participants to gain valuable insights that can guide their own professional pursuits. By engaging with local businesses and experts, attendees will be able to explore the multifaceted growth that characterizes China today. Registration deadline: July 31, 2025.

Fee study trip: CHF 2’650.- for Kalaidos “MPK” students, CHF 2’950.- for other participants (e.g. Kalaidos alumni etc.)

The study trip fee includes hotel accommodation (October 26 – November 1, 2025), local transportation and meals.

All participants are responsible for organizing, booking and paying for their own intercontinental flight, travel insurance, visa arrangements (where required) etc.

Please provide personal travel insurance since cancellations will not be possible once your participation is confirmed.

Participants
-
Students in Kalaidos Bachelor or Master programs as well as other participants with at least 3 years of professional experience can take part in this study trip. Good English communication skills are required.
Other information
Visa policy

From March 14, 2024 to December 31, 2025, China has implemented a unilateral visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from twelve countries: Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. Citizens holding ordinary passports from the above mentioned twelve countries can travel to China without a visa for a maximum duration of 30 days. This exemption applies to travel for business, tourism, family visits, transit, or cultural exchanges. One duration should not exceed 30 days from the date of their entry. Foreign citizens eligible for visa-free entry to China can enter for multiple times. Currently, there are no restrictions on the number of visa-free entries or total days of stay limit.

Foreign citizens who do not meet the above mentioned purposes and time limit for visa exemption or holding service passports still need to apply for Chinese visa before entering into China.
